Thanks for the report. Your "Actual Results" and "Expected Results" are the same - I guess you just want to get rid of the crash error report box? Could you please attach a screenshot of the crash error report box? At least this box should not be triggered from KDE itself - Dolphin uses a custom process for getting the metadata exactly because there are unstable plugins that might crash. In this case Dolphin should just show no meta information but it does not trigger a showing of a crash error box itself. The backtrace looks similar to those in bug 282733. @Jekyll Wu: Ah, you are right - I've marked it as duplicate now. Still it would be great to have a screenshot of this crash dialog. KFileMetaDataReader does not use KApplication, so the KDE crash dialog should not appear at all and the crash should be silent for the user. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 282733 *** On 14/12/11 14:33, Peter Penz wrote: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288967 > > > Peter Penz<peter.penz19@gmail.com> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED > Resolution| |DUPLICATE > > > > > --- Comment #3 from Peter Penz<peter penz19 gmail com> 2011-12-14 14:33:23 --- > @Jekyll Wu: Ah, you are right - I've marked it as duplicate now.
