Description Janet 2011-12-12 02:46:41 UTC
Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS: Linux

Dragging an image file from dolphin into the gimp image window does not work anymore, it results in a "not here"-cursor. It works fine to drag the file from dolphin into gimp's toolbox and into gimp's layer dock to create a new layer in an already opened image but the image window is the main part for this and should be usable. It does fully work with other filemanagers like krusader.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open Gimp, open dolphin, try to drag some image file (no matter which type) from dolphin into gimp's image window.

Actual Results:
not possible to drop the picture into gimp's image window from dolphin

Expected Results:
drag and drop images into gimp's image window should work with dolphin

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.1-4.slh.5-aptosid-686
Compiler: gcc

Works for me when using dolphin-1.99(KDE 4.8) and gimp-2.6.11. Feel free to reopen if it still happens in recent version.

Can you please backport that fix to dolphin 1?
