Dieter, can you show the contents of the [Locale] section from your .kde/share/config/kdeglobals file? John, looks like bug 262488 can still happen. *** Bug 288870 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Yup, looks like it. Bug 288870 was with KDE 4.6.5, which should have contained the fix. Inconceivable! :-) I really need to see the [Locale] section of kdeglobals to try recreate. Also a step-by-step description of the actions taken to cause the crash. I'm also running openSUSE 12.1 but with KDE 4.7.4 and I can't recreate the crash by changing to Australian locale.
