While extracting an archive, pressing the stop button in the notification applet effectively has no effect (process is not killed).

Confirming, at least with tar archive (I tried with gcc-5.2.0.tar.bz2)

I think this bug can be closed now? Stopping an extraction with stop button in notification area works for both tar-based and zip archives now...
