Description Piotr Golonka 2011-11-25 08:23:51 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS: Linux

I upgraded from Fedora 14 to 16 on my laptop, and this is the first time akonadi is used as KMail's backend.
I "freeze" my laptop (suspend), and then wake it up. All the KDE session seems OK. However, kmail does not refresh any folder, and I do not see the new emails in my IMAP resource. Even when I click on an existing message in a list, I cannot see its content.

the method I found to get the things working back again was to
1) stop kmail
2) restart akonadi completely using "akonadictl restart" in commandline
3) start kmail again

if I don't stop kmail before restarting akonadi, I get strange artifacts such as only a part of messages being visinle

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) have kmail running, with IMAP resource
2) hibernate, and then "unfreeze" your laptop

Actual Results:
folders do not refresh; "refresh folder" doesn't do anything

Expected Results:
After "unfreezing" and checking an email, I should see new emails in my mailbox

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.1.1-2.fc16.x86_64
Compiler: gcc

I can confirm this with KDE 4.8.1

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Unfortunatel I cannot confirm it anymore - I had to change my email client to be able to deal with a large mailbox (the decision was tearing my heart apart, as I was using kmail for more that a decade).

Hence, from my perspective, this one could be closed as not reproducible...
