(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kspread
Version: 1.1 (beta3) (using KDE 2.1.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Linux-Mandrake 8.0 i586
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Linux-Mandrake 8.0 2.96-0.48mdk)
OS: Linux 2.4.3-20mdk i686
OS/Compiler notes:

I believe conditional cell attributes are really useful to make a dull sheet easier to read. But it often happens that I deal with string data which are apparently not supported yet.
I suppose functionalities like the "concurrence" has is on the plans but if not I would appreciate the possibility to :
- automatically format string cells ("cell contains..." "cell does not contain..." ...)
- change attributes other than just font and color (e.g. background border ...)

Thanks for the nice efforts that have already made kspread really nice !

This appears to have been implemented in the current CVS version of KSpread=
.=20=20
The feature will be in the upcoming KOffice 1.2 Beta 1 release if not=20
already in a previous release.

kspread 1.6.0: conditional formatting is hidden in Edit menu. I expected it in the Format menu.

- It can only take values (not formulas) as input for a condition. But formulas with cell references are much more flexible

- User must create a dedicated cell style just for highlighting. This is flexible. But seems a bit too much user work. There should be a sensible default style, like "red font color" if a condition is true.

- German Translation should be "Bedingte Formatierung" not "Bedingte Zellenattribute"
