- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I noticed this problem occurs randomly when changing song (either manually or automatically). Sometimes it happens fairly often, other times amarok plays for hours without problem.
I am using archlinux with gnome-shell, pulseaudio and gstreamer as backend.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.

This is already solved in the upcoming Amarok 2.5. You can already test the 2.5 beta1 version.
