Description Kai Uwe Broulik 2011-11-17 14:23:19 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS: Linux

When I click on the Calendar section in Kontact, Korganizer launches and with it its reminder daemon. The daemon’s startup is shown by the bouncing mouse cursor. Unfortunately, the daemon does not dismiss the startup notification and so the cursor bounces until the set timeout is reached.
(I think that start up notification for that daemon is unneccessary anyway)

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start KOrganizer or Kontact and choose Calendar

Actual Results:
The bouncing mouse cursor appears with the KOrganizer Reminder icon and stays there until the configured timeout for the startup notification is reached

Expected Results:
The bouncing mouse cursor disappears once the daemon is started (it appears almost instantly in the system tray); or the notification does not appear at all as this is a background thing the user doesn’t neccessarily need to know about.
