It will be good to see digikam's plugin showing metadata statistics and some graphs (eg focal length, shutter time, flash etc etc)

metadata statistic done with database ?

In fact to extend Help/Database Info dialog for ex ?

Please provide a mockup...

Yes, statistic (graphs will be the best) based on matadata in database.

good example is
