Screen shot of lots of offensive yellow squares.

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS: Linux

Center clicking on the background of KDE while running the activity "Search and Launch" generates a small yellow box at the bottom of the screen, just above the panel. It appears to be part of some kind of note system; right clicking them gives an editing menu; the color is the same as a box generated by Knotes.
functions.

These little windows can't be resized or moved, unlike the windows generated by using the menu got by clicking the Knote icon in the tray, which have a partial border at the top that can be used to drag them, can be resized, and have a partial border at the bottom that generates a menu when right clicked that has an option that deletes them (among other options).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Be in the "Search and Launch" activity.
2. Be sure that the center mouse button is configured to "Paste" in the Plasma Desktop Shell.
3. Click the center button anywhere on the desktop background.

Actual Results:
Little yellow square appears just above the panel. If there is text in the clipboard, sometimes a menu appears allowing a choice between a note or an invocation of Konqueror. If note is chosen, the text appears in and near the square, extending out onto the background.

Expected Results:
Note window appears near the cursor.

Every time I center click on the background, a pair of entries appears in the file ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc looking like this

I am able to reproduce this in KDE 4.7.4 on Fedora 16.

Edited bug summary for clarity.

I was able to remove the stray Note Widget after the upgrade to 4.8.0.
