Running KDE master (next KDE 4.8) I don't see my display following the setting in System Settings -> Power Management where I set my display very low while on battery. See attached screenshot where I manually put the display to 0 for battery and when I plug the power cord the display stays as it was. I don't see it's a battery applet problem but a power devil one. Power settings are not the same from kcm to applet
This is exactly the behavior I am seeing in 4.6 Are you still able to reproduce this with 4.9 or 4.10? a lot has changed in this regard since 4.6 Thanks ! Closing the thread for lack of activity. Please, please! if you are still able to reproduce this with KDE 4.10 or 4.11 feel free to reopen the bug! Thanks for reporting ! I see something similar to this. It doesn't happen all the time. When I unplug my laptop it always dims the screen automatically, but sometimes, when I plug it back in it just stays dimmed (but KDE does seem to recognize that its plugged in and everything). When this happens if I unplug and re-plug it un-dims the screen as it should. At the moment I'm running KDE 4.11 on opensuse 12.3 on a system76 lemur ultra. There's also other issues I have that are described in this bug where KDE does not "catch" brightness changes from my fn keys (works fine in gnome/xfce etc... though): https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=323516 |
