Version:           svn (using KDE 4.7.3) 
OS:                Linux

Words shows abiword, html and so on in the file open dialog, but it just can handle txt, doc, docx, rtf and odt, the rest doesn't work.

Maybe that's the case cause when we removed support for the old KWD format from Words we also made lot of filters that where still producing KWD as output-format not working any longer.
We could either restore the KWD format (as filter then and not as native format) what would probably be the fastest way or we could port all the filters to proper output to ODF what sounds like a good long-term strategy.

I'm no longer able to test any fixes to these bugs, if there would be a fix forthcoming.
