Version:           4.0.0 (using KDE 4.7.3)

It would be nice to have better KIO support in kompare. 
If you kompare two files over, let's say, SFTP, you see something like "/tmp/kde-user/kompare40923.tmp" as source and destination, which is complete meaningless...
