- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I found that my panel had been unclickable (none of the widgets would register left-clicks), so I right-clicked and created a new default panel through the menu, then right-clicked on and deleted the original.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
Unclickable panel widgets.

- Other potentially relevant information:
I installed plasma through apt on top of Ubuntu 11.10 (Gnome) after an upgrade from 11.10 upgraded from 10.10.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
