Description Carsten Pfeiffer 2011-11-08 22:20:48 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS: Linux

It would be nice if krdc supported ARD authentication, which is more secure (encrypted) than the currently supported unencrypted VNC authentication.

krdc needs to supply the "GetCredential" callback to libvncserver in order to support ARD auth.

Thanks,
Carsten

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Being able to authenticated with a username and password instead of just the VNC password.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.0.0-2-amd64
Compiler: gcc

What VNC server (on linux) supports that mode? Do you know if ARD will be preferred over the default authentication mode by servers (and libvncclient) if KRDC implements this?
