Oleg, It would help if you could provide more info. > I tried to open page with java applet in it. For starters, what is such webpage? its URL? Do you crash if you visit this page: http://www.javatester.org/version.html If you do not crash when visiting that page, then please report the version of your java software which is in the pink rectangle. Do you crash if you visit this page: http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml If you do not crash when visiting that page, then please report the java information in the light gray rectangle. You say you use > Application: konqueror (4.7.2 (4.7.2)) Do you use the KHTML rendering engine or Webkit rendering engine? Do you crash if you try moving your mouse into the applets of this page: http://profs.etsmtl.ca/mmcguffin/learn/java/04-mouseInput/ regards, Gérard Oleg, Do you have installed on your system the packages openjdk-6-jre (version 6b23) and icedtea6-plugin (version 6b21.1.3) I am using KDE Platform Version: 4.7.3 Konqueror version: 4.7.3 (with KHTML rendering engine) Qt Version: 4.7.4 Operating System: Linux 3.0.0-13-generic-pae i686 (32bits) Distribution: Kubuntu 11.10 and I have installed openjdk-6-jre packages (version 6b23 architecture i386) and icedtea6-plugin (version 6b21.1.3) packages. regards, Gérard Gérard, I use sun-java6-jdk. The applet which crashes is from project I working on in my company. It works perfect under Mozilla Firefox (Both Windows and Linux), Google Chrome (Both Windows and Linux), Internet Explorer. I tried to run it under Konqueror and Konqueror crashed with the attached stacktrace. Java plugin I used is the latest from ubuntu repo, I guess it is 1.6b26 Rendering engine - the one which is default in Konqueror, I guess it is KHTML. The pages with applet you gave me - works correctly. Regarding applet - it heavily interacts with javascript on page, so that maybe the issue. I will try to reproduce it more precisely and give you more details. Regards, Oleg. > Java plugin I used is the latest from ubuntu repo, I guess it is 1.6b26 You can make that version sure, certain with the package manager you may be using. In Apper, I would do: type in sun-java6-jdk in the input text box (for search) and then right-click on the results which offers you to Show Versions, Show Architectures, Show Sizes > Rendering engine - the one which is default in Konqueror, I guess it is KHTML. To make that sure, certain, do: Settings/Configure Konqueror.../ General category/ Web navigation engine by default > The pages with applet you gave me - works correctly. > > Regarding applet - it heavily interacts with javascript on page, so that maybe > the issue. Then try to view with other browsers javascript or error console any javascript errors for that page. Gérard Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time.
