Although there have been several uptades in packages used by kubuntu 11.10 and the software I installed, it has never appeared a notification on the system tray, so the only way to know if there's an available update is to execute muon and look there.

I have made sure to check to check updates in a daily basis and to display the results both in system tray and emerging window, but I have never seen any notification since installed Kubuntu 11.10 from the very first day of its release.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Update packages manually or automatically.


Actual Results:  
No notification of any type is seen when there are available updates

Expected Results:  
Notification updates in system tray
