Does it release the lock automatically after 5 minutes of sound inactivity? no , it does not release sound even not after a few hours. knotify4 process for user root is still running, even when the caller "root" program is closed. *** Bug 289758 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This may be related to pulseaudio. Are you using this configuration? If I push the Daemon's Logs button in KSystemlog, after that no sound working in, for example, any player. works for me Thank you for reporting this bug in KDE software.
