Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Fire up Krita 2.4 (b3);
Open a new image (no matter what image crashes Krita later);
Delete the layer (the canvas becomes thus transparent);
Select the pick color tool (on the toolbar);
Click on the empty canvas;
Krita crashes suddenly (this occurs silently: no Bug report wizard pops up).

Pay attention, in order to get a backtrace you are forced to start Krita through the Terminal (thanks to the gdb utility)

Actual Results:  
Krita always crashes

Expected Results:  
Krita shouldn't crash :-)

Hi everyone,

I have just tried right now and Krita 2.4 beta 4 doesn't crash anymore.
The pick color tool works like a charm everywhere.
