Description Franky 2011-10-26 18:58:35 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

After i add a new softwaresource (like ppa:cinelerra-ppa/ppa), the window „Updating softwaresources“ appear and closes automatically. Wait until the „Rebuild searchindex“ ends.
 1. The Filter „By Origin“ do not show the new source
 2. New Packages aren't available

After closing muon package-manager and restart, it will show everything correct and the new packages are available.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
add a PPA by clicking „Setings -> Configure Softwaresources “
Wait until the „Updating Softwaresources“-Windoiw closes
Wait until the „Rebuild searchindex“ in the statusbar ha finished

Expected Results:
The Filter „by Origin“ should display the added Softwaresource
new packages should be available

Kubuntu 11.10 running in a qemu-kvm Virtual environment

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0.0-12-generic
Compiler: gcc

I have fixed half of the issue. New software sources will now show up in the Origin list from 1.2.3+, but the issue of the packages not showing up during a search still remain.

The other half is now fixed for upcoming versions.
