- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I was working through a series of RAW (DNG and PEF formats) images, using ufraw to adjust exposure and white balance.  I have done a total of 88 over the last week, on 3 different days.  This is the first and so far only crash, though I've had some other problems which I do not think are related (more below).

In this last edit with ufraw, I had just told it to save the file, which would have been back into a digikam visible directory, when digikam crashed.

I did not see anything explicitly referencing this event sequence in any of the existing bugs I looked at, though the final result is the same.  I have no skill in reading trace files and cannot use that information in a helpful way.

The only other issue I was having, prior the crash, was that digikam had suddenly started displaying the same image (thumbnail?) for image files I'd used ufraw on, even though the actual image was different.  I had restarted digikam at that point, to see if that resolved the duplicated thumbnails, which it seemed to have done.  There was nothing else unexpected or abnormal that I noticed.
