Description Kelytha 2011-10-20 12:24:08 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

KMail periodically forgets about my SMTP passoword, even though I always have the "Remember password" checkbox checked in. I also have KWallet open and working (all apps work fine and remember my passwords). It's only the SMTP password that I have to type in again and again.

It doesn't happens each time I send mail, but one time each day. This behavior is perfectly consistent.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to send an email with KMail, check the "Remember password" checkbox.
Try to send an email again in one-two days.

Actual Results:
The SMTP password is not remembered.

Expected Results:
I would expect the password to be stored, since the appropriate checkbox is checked in.

I can confirm this bug. I have it in OpenSUSE 12.2 x64, KDE 4.9.1. Very annoying when I use lastpass for my gmail password and can't remember it myself.
