I'm not sure how the context menu in Plasma Active is implemented but if it is a normal Window, I am sorry to say that this is a well known and common limitation of the X Windowing System: it is impossible to lock the screen while a context menu or a normal menu is shown. Reason: the context menu performs a keyboard grab which means that the screen locker cannot get the grab and refuses to lock the screen. Well, in my case the screen was locked (or it looked like that). *** Bug 286342 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Plasma Active is no longer under development. (Martin's comment about screen locking is still relevant in X11, I think, but doesn't apply to the unmaintained-product Plasma Active) |
