Version:           1.99.0 (using KDE 4.7.2) 
OS:                Linux

to me it seems to take a little longer until kmail loads and displays mail folders etc. I wonder whether this should be now that it uses akonadi? Shouldn't a database based approach be faster?

Reproducible: Always



Expected Results:  
Faster load and display of mail folders, even with many mails in them.

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0.0-12-generic
Compiler: gcc

Closing with invalid. bugs.kde.org is not a forum and we'll obviously make kmail (even) faster if there are ways to do this.
