Today the same happened with another computer and external HDD. Now more came out. When I tried to copy a folder (~600 Mb) krusader first counted the files and data amount to copy, then started. But it showed only around 200 Mb data to be copied. And when finished the folder on the target place was really ~200 Mb. So 2/3 of the data was not copied. (As in the previous cases, no partial files created, a file was copied correctly or was fully skipped.) In this case I used kubuntu (Oneiric) having Xubuntu-desktop installed/logged into. And Krusader Version 2.4.0-beta1 with KDE 4.7.1. Sorry of my English, some sentences are not so clear, like this line: But it showed only around 200 Mb data to be copied. may should have been written like ... to be coping. So I mean the copy window said: 7 Mb of 230 Mb complete instead of: 7 Mb of 660 Mb complete. Changing this to a KIO bug, as Krusader uses KIO for copy opearations. Can this be fixed with: 1) A «busy» indicator near the flash drives in dolphin places / devices plasmoid? 2) Another, «syncing» progress bar when you press unmount? Currently unmount does not give the right/any/understandable feedback while waiting for sync being completed. The question is: is it possible to get the progress of the sync operation? Is it possible to tell if it is being done at the current moment («busy» indicator)? Sorry, i posted that comment to a wrong bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 238424 *** |
