Bug 284031

Summary: Copy-To-Clipboard in Okular does not work for some unicode characters

Description spam 2011-10-14 22:07:54 UTC
Version: 4.7.0 (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: MS Windows

The copying to clipboard of some unicode characters does result in unexpected behaviour. Right-Clicking on the character shows that Okular itself ('Search for [...] with') can't recognize the character. While something is actually copied to the clipboard, the character does not work everywhere (barely anywhere), while others in the same Unicode Block to actually work fine.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Download http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U2600.pdf
2) Open U2600.pdf up in Okular
3) Copy characters such as the atom symbol or the double female sign to the clipboard

Actual Results:
A character that cannot be copied correctly in many programs, except firefox.

Expected Results:
⚢ and ⚛

You need to deactivate the "Obey DRM limitations"-option in the supplied example document, provided by Unicode.org.

Suddenly appears with unknown characters on a specific file made on WPS Office and merged with another via "ilovepdf", but weirdly it appears correctly on MS Edge's own integrated PDF Reader
