Description Barade 2011-10-14 10:40:25 UTC
Version: 4.2.3 (using KDE 4.7.1)
OS: Linux

I worked on an archiving tool and extracted a big archive (~800 MiByte) with many files and sub directories into a test sub directory of my project directory.
Afterwards I deleted all files by simply using "rm -R <dir>" and KDevelop didn't respond for a long time.
Consider that those files did not belong to the project!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Create/copy directory with many sub directories and files into your project's directory and delete everything afterwards.

Expected Results:
Shouldn't slow down KDevelop since it could ignore files which are not part of the project?

a) everything inside the project directory is considered part of the project in kdevelop

b) we have a separate bug that requests a way to filter/ignore subfolders

c) please provide a sample project + tarball to unextract to make it simpler for us to reproduce this issue and improve the situation
