This bug is already reported as bug 277167. Since this request actually requests that the current behavior is kept as a (configurable) feature, I mark this as a wish item. If I have well understood, at the time to move something (letters, stripes, etc.) only one colour can be moved with a transparent background. Is it right? And the colour is choosen with right click in the colour palette, right? If this is true, in the wish list may put to move any colour at the same time. This can be a very powerfull tool.
