Quite often, I see nepomuk resource URLs in the place of meaningful data. Sometimes they show up as tag names in the addressbook, or they appear in the  metadata display/tooltip in dolphin.

They should never appear!

There must always be some meaningful string they address, which could be shown instead! If not, the data should probably be deleted...

Another questionable data that is displayed in dolphin is the "has hash: <hash>" - that is plain noise afaics.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
... or at least almost. open dolphin and look in the metadata display or tooltip....

Actual Results:  
nepomuk:/res urls and has hash: noise taking up screen space

Expected Results:  
meaningful metadata displayed

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0-ARCH

Here are some examples. Sometimes also "To:", "From:" or other headers are turned into nepomuks URLs. As can be seen, there is also a mysterious "References: <nepomuk URL>" and why do you display empty properties? (in the dolphin sidebar, of course the means for ADDING data makes sense, but not in the tooltip!)

A very scary example

In this screenshot from kaddressbook, nepomuk decided to create a number of empty tags. First there were two, so I tried to delete them using the icon that appears in the tagging dialog, but each time I click that another empty tag is created.

As seen in the contact editor, the empty tags are now displayed as nepomuk:URLs.

Sometimes when editing a contact, they are automatically enabled when opening the tag editor. Unchecking them is VERY tedious,  I would say difficult. Either click EVERY instance, or use the spacebar, but focus is moved to the top every time.

I would love to know how to remove those monsters from my database?

Luckily, I could remove the tags using the tagging dialog inside dolphin, where the tags appeared as nepomuk:/URL instead of empty. I am thankful - but confused. Why is the dialog that appears to be the same, behaving different in those apps???

Yet a scary finding: Using the tagging dialog in kaddressbook, yet another empty tag was created. Pressing cancel means that it is not added to the database, but then using the tags in kaddressbook means adding empty tags, so having contact categories is not possible at this stage :(

Btw, it is possible to delete tags via dolphin. Click on the add new tags dialog and if you hover on a tag a red cross will appear on the right.

You mean it is theoritically possible to delete tags from dolphin. It does not work.

My current version of kde (4.8.4) can not run nepomuk at all, it makes several applications crash if enabled at all.

But back when I could use it, trying to delete tags let to random behavior - sometimes it did not work at all, sometimes I thought they were deleted, but they were not, and something (akonadi?) created endless copies of tags.
