A screenshot showing the menu without borders

Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

When compositing is disabled at run-time, the border around the k-menu is (at least) partially missing, see attached screenshot.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Log in with a brand new KDE session (at least, with composite enabled). Then hit Alt+Shift+F12 to disable compositing, and open the K-Menu.

Actual Results:
It looks like in attached screenshot, missing the border.

Expected Results:
The border should be present.

I am using a git version of KDE checked out and compiled just today.

could the bug 283859 be related? Instead of missing borders, it paints black borders. Also – for widget popups (could you check, if you are also missing popup borders? Though admittedly, that is harder to detect).
Comment 2 Ralf Jung 2011-10-12 21:09:57 UTC
I am not sure if that bug is related, I do not see any black borders.

However, widget popups borders are indeed missing - I checked the battery applet widget, and the text comes too close to the edge of the panel.

That is right, those two are quite different: in one case it is the
border that is missing, in the other the border appears in place, and
the former shadow is not repainted (remains black).

Ralf are you still experiencing this issue with a newer version? here with kde 4.7.3 I obtain what Donatas is describing (black borders, where you say no borders)
