This is only possible when using Compositing ("Desktop Effects"), and you have the "Screenshot" effect enabled. If you had it disabled, could you check if enabling it fixes the issue?
yes, that works (on another pc, have to test it on original pc, too). thanks. did not knew about that. perhaps there should be some hint in ksnapshot, when selecting options, where such "bugs" are possible. *** Bug 287841 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Hello!
