Description H.H. 2011-10-05 10:49:59 UTC
Version: 0.8.2 (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS: Linux

For now the part of the window, which is beyond the screen is covered with garbage in ksnapshot

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
It would be nice, if the snapshot for "windows" would contain the complete window.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34.7-0.5-desktop
Compiler: gcc

This is only possible when using Compositing ("Desktop Effects"), and you have the "Screenshot" effect enabled. If you had it disabled, could you check if enabling it fixes the issue?

yes, that works (on another pc, have to test it on original pc, too). thanks.

did not knew about that. perhaps there should be some hint in ksnapshot, when selecting options, where such "bugs" are possible.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years and I will be closing this bug. Spectacle is the replacement for ksnapshot now. Please test again and file a new bug for Spectacle if you still have issues. Thank you!
