korg 4.7 print dialog
Please have a look at the attached screenshot, what's missing ?
(this is korganizer 4.7)
I'm talking about printing to something like a DayRunner "Portable" format, similar to this: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/813156/Day-Timer-90percent-Recycled-Reference-Refill/ (but one day per page for calendars, I expect that's easier to implement). And the same size would work for any of the sections (address, to-do, memo). Borland Sidekick used to do it, possibly others. That filofax" example you showed looks to be 8.5x11". Paper sizes are mostly handled outside of KOrganizer, but in the printer dialog the printer properties lets you specify a custom page size. Does that suffice? Well, considering I threw out my DayRunner years ago at this point (finally gave up trying to find a solution) I couldn't even tell you anymore. I probably would have had to run Sidekick or Lotus Organizer under Wine to get the right output. The most I could expect these days is for a 2-up printout on letter paper (making 5.5" x 8.5" sheets to go in a mini-binder like I use for my writing notebook). But it has to allow for hole-punching to that binder size. This would need the ability to specify different margins for even and odd pages (to leave room for the punch holes) and to reorder pages so they can be folded into a "signature". Some PDF and PostScript utilities can do that; KDE can't. |
