It would be nice if KDE would ask me for a root password whenever root is required rather than disabling the option when I'm logged in as a normal user or giving me an error message. For example if I try to delete a file that I don't have permission to I just get an error about not having access to the file. KDE would be a lot more useable it if just asked me for the root password (or the password of whatever user that file belongs to) with the option of having that password remembered rather than just flat out deny me the right to delete a file. Same goes true with things in KControl like being able to add a printer under Printer Manager. I think steps should be made to prevent any sort of roadblock in terms of permissions by just popping up a password box wherever permission isn't available.

I think it would also be important if Konqueror would ask for a password
when I don't have permission to write a file to a directory. Right now
KWord just tells me it can't save a file. If it can't save it because of
permissions it should just ask for the password.

And the same should be (the password box), when I need to copy some files where a user is not allowed to. This will make using KDE faster, and I will not be forced to open a konsole and start MC, whenever I need to edit, copy, move, save, delete, etc. a file where a user is not allowed to.
