Description Kai Uwe Broulik 2011-09-29 21:36:17 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.1)
OS: Linux

In Systemsettings "Device Actions" KCM I cannot add a new action. When clicking on "Add" a dialog prompting a name appears but no matter what I enter, nothing happens.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Go to "Device Actions" in Systemsettings, click "Add" and enter some name.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens after entering the name.

Expected Results:
A new action should be created and the dialog described in http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdebase-workspace/kcontrol/solid-actions/index.html should appear.
Comment 1 Christoph Feck 2011-09-30 18:01:47 UTC
Until that is fixed, click on "Ok" instead of hitting Enter in the Add dialog.

Git commit c8fb2bc4bd024ed94e603d252152589939ccfd14 by Christoph Feck.
Committed on 30/09/2011 at 20:16.
Pushed by cfeck into branch 'KDE/4.7'.

Fix Ok default button state

This works around a KDialog bug. The KDialog gets confused with the
default button if it is initially disabled, so if you hit Enter, you
effectively cancel the dialog.

Comment 3 Kai Uwe Broulik 2012-05-22 14:54:09 UTC
Just tried. Still does not reliable work. Sometimes it works but most of the cases you still end up closing the dialog.
Comment 4 Christoph Feck 2012-05-22 17:48:48 UTC
Yes, the bug is still open. The workaround was only in 4.7 branch, because I had hoped to fix it in kdelibs for 4.8, but never did.
