digiKam 2.2.0 is out since few weeks. Crash still valid with this version ? Gilles Caulier Thank you for your interest in my listing, now I can not get the program
to crash, but has revealed a second, slightly annoying feature, the date
is displayed in the form of <date>. <Month>. <year> For example,
11/01/2011 is shown in the form of 01/KK/2011
(date format in Finland 01.KK.2011). So all is just a few months, "KK"

I supose that you talking about the date displayed behind the timeline widget when you choose Day unit. the method to display date is formated by KDElibs through KDE calendar sytem settings. Call in source code is here : https://projects.kde.org/projects/extragear/graphics/digikam/repository/revisions/master/entry/digikam/date/timelinewidget.cpp#L786 So, the date string must be formatted following your local settings set in KDE control pannel.
