Description Praveen Thivari 2011-09-20 21:30:42 UTC
Version: 4.1 (using KDE 4.7.1)
OS: Linux

It seems that nepomuk uses 100% cpu and on using top i see 2 nepomukindexer running. I do not want it use it. It os causing my sysstem to make more noise because of rapid fan speeds to cool down processor.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Enable nepomuk service

Actual Results:
The services starts using all of cpu memory and causes 100 % cpu usage. System remains responsive but it starts to make lot of noise because of high rpm of cpu fans (obviously to cool down cpu)

Expected Results:
It should run in backgroung without much fuss and without causing much load on system.

It should use bare minimal resources to index the files. If at all it needs to index for first times it should warn that it will use max cpu (something like that) and start indexing. But once it indexes first time subsequent indexing should use very minimal cpu resources.

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0-ARCH
Compiler: gcc
