The problem appears to be in Qt. We have several reports about problems with Qt 4.7.4 and higher, see also bug 279813. Did you try removing the config files for Amarok? Not related, I guess. Sounds more like a video driver issue. This seems to be somewhat related: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-2d/+bug/759803/comments/13 @Reporter, are you using a somewhat special X setup? Using unity? Weird video drivers? *** Bug 284537 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I'm launching from Gnome classic if this helps. I also use K3B launched from Gnome classic and this runs fine.
