First, I just want to say that Plasma on my laptop here (OpenSUSE 11.6) seems very buggy: going to panel settings does not darken existing spacers and makes it hard to resize them; adding new spacers darkens it properly and I can resize them properly, but the darkening does not go away after exiting panel settings, notifications widget has a lot of problems, etc.
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I accidentally messed up the order and spacing of my icons in one of my panels (by dragging to a vertical screen edge to test it and dragging it back to a horizontal edge), so I set about fixing it. As I said above, spacers were a problem - I couldn't see them, and the cursor showed the resizing cursor only half the time. Notifications widget wasn't displaying anything (it had a number "1" on it, but clicking it and double-clicking it did nothing), so I tried to remove it and add it again. First time, a dark space appeared but did nothing (it got placed in the wrong location, and I couldn't move it because Plasma couldn't "see" it), and disappeared after I resized another spacer; tried again, found the right place, let go of the dragging, and Plasma crashed.
