Description philipmac1 2011-09-15 03:23:17 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.1)
OS: Linux

I only just tried marble so I cannot say when the problem developed.
The entire world is covered in a haze which I can only assume is cloud, since it disappears when I unselect the cloud option.

Checking http://files.kde.org/marble/maps/earth/clouds/ I found clouds.jpg to be sized zero bytes. I'm assuming that's the problem.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Load marble
View-clouds

Actual Results:
The world looks washed out and awful

Expected Results:
Clouds covering only parts of the world

Checking both the surver and my local marble copy I have found that clouds.jpg has either been fixed or fixed itself. Thanks very much.

Thanks for the bug report. You were right about clouds.jpg being empty to be the problem. It was caused by a change in the xplanet cloud file distribution [1]. We're using their lower resolution cloud image now as a workaround, but are looking into a better solution.
