Description Vinicius Tinoco 2011-09-07 14:31:37 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

I have a notebook with american keyboard
I am using Kubuntu 11.04 with KDE version 4.7. The brazilian portuguese language is selected as the default system language (pt-BR).
The keyboard layout is selected USA International (with dead keys).
However, when I press the combination " ´ + c " the kde shows me the character "ć" instead "ç".
I followed some tips on the internet, but I couldn't fix this problem

The Firefox, Skype, LibreOffice are OK (they show "ç" when I press that combination, however, KDE applications not.

I now that I can press "AltGr + ,", but this is not usual.
Thaks for everybody that can help.
Vinicius Tinoco

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Always when I press the combination "´ + c" using a american keyboard with USA International layout (with dead keys)

Actual Results:
When presses the combination "´ + c", The KDE shows "ć"

Expected Results:
That KDE shows "ç"

> however, KDE applications not

What about pure Qt applications?
Comment 2 Vinicius Tinoco 2011-09-07 21:47:00 UTC
All KDE workspace and Qt application are happening the same problem

I tried in QuteCom (made using QT 4) and it appears "ć"

To complement, I tried once to install another notebook e it happened the same, when the problem is not in my notebook only.
Comment 3 Andriy Rysin 2011-09-18 14:15:47 UTC
It looks like this is the problem with keyboard handling (which is not related to keyboard switcher) changing component to kdelibs (although it looks like the problem is actually deeper - in qt)
