Description Jorg K 2011-09-07 08:40:21 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

When I first installed openSUSE 11.4 it came with KDE 4.6. Back then I connected my camera or external hard drives and received the "device notifier" and could access the content of the camera or drive via Dolphin.

Now I'm on KDE 4.7 and I updated my system yesterday with the very latest patches.

When connecting my camera or an external drive, there is no device notifier any more.

I worked out that typing "camera:/" in Konqueror still gives me access. But I have no idea how to access the external drives, or how to eject them safely. Since this is something that used to work, it would be nice to reinstate that to the previous working state.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Connect camera.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:
Device notifier should appear and camera should be mounted.

The device notifier that was previously part of the systray had disappeared. After re-enabling it again, it's all back to normal.
