- Unusual behavior I noticed:

I'm using ubuntu 11.04, the system updated befor simon installations.
when i run simon I've got popup i quote:
"Could not initialize scenarios and shadow dictionary. "
and the application crashed.
I rey again and i've got the same results.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Bugs for Simon are not tracked in the KDE bug tracker. Please report this issue directly to Simon developers via http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=935103&group_id=190872&func=browse

Hi!

Please do open the bug at our tracker (see Christophs comment) if you need further help!

But as a first step: Have you by any chance downgraded from a development version (>= 0.3.50)? In that case there might simply be some incompatibilities.

This could also happen after manually removing the scenarios folder without changing the scenario configuration.

For a manual fix change the option of SelectedScenarios to "general":
SelectedScenarios=general
in the file ~/.kde4/share/config/simonscenariosrc

If you have changed your "general"-scenario, you can remove it (and with it your changes - so back it up if you still need it) from ~/.kde4/share/apps/simon/scenarios/ to start with a fresh, empty scenario configuration.
