this seems to be an issue about the missing vlc package. Installing the vlc package with package manager mode, makes the crash go away. Solution: fix dependency to vlc package for phonon backend.

ok, I fixed the vlc dependency, now it should get installed by default. Nevertheless there should be a new bug report because even with a missing plugin the phonon configure dialog shouldn't crash.
