Description Mike Vaughn 2011-08-26 21:06:26 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

The current implementation of the [really-could-be-awesome] feature of waking from alarms is quite possibly the biggest flaw in KDE-PIM. It necessitates keeping an additional application running at all times (KAlarm), whose functionality is 90% duplicated by KOrganizer Reminder Daemon - another application which must be kept running at all times for a user to be reminded of calendar entries. From a user's perspective, this is a huge oversight in the design of KDE-PIM, an otherwise nearly flawless suite of professional-grade applications.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
A checkbox option in KOrganizer Main Configuration to wake from suspend for all event reminders.
