(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kcmnotify
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 2.2.0 beta1)
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.4
OS/Compiler notes:

Hi
I know that features are frozen as of KDE2.2beta1 but in the future could you make it so that we can save and load notification settings like they were a "theme"? That way we KDE2 users could "trade" our settings or incorporate them into themes.

Thanks!

Some comments from the dup

This could be done quite simply:
 - define names for all standard sounds (startup, etc.), these can be i18n-ized
 - make the notifications module use the standard names (in a dropdown) instead of entering filenames (as is now)
 - make a separate sound theme editor where one can assign sounds to the standard sound names, or switch scheme at once (like the color schemes)

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Kcontrol has been replaced by System Settings in Plasma. Please give the latest version of that a try, and open a new bug in "systemsettings" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you!
