Description radhika 2011-08-10 23:32:25 UTC
Version: 3.5 (using KDE 1.2)
OS: Linux

My Qt application windows appear in all the 4 desktops of KDE instead of just the one from where the application got invoked.
This makes all the desktops same and defeats the purpose of multiple desktops using KDE.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
use Qt to generate some sample windows and have a script to start these Qt window applications.

Actual Results:
you should see the windows show up only on one desktop.

Expected Results:
you will see the Qt windows open up on all the desktops.

Which KDE version are you using? To find out, run Konqueror and in "Help" menu select "About KDE".

The Konqueror version that I run is: 3.5.4-13.6.el5.centos

KDE release 3.5.4 is five years old, and no longer maintained/supported by the KDE team. Sorry, you might ask your distributor for a newer version or support.

The last KDE 3.5 release is 3.5.10, released mid 2008, so two years worth of bug fixes are included compared to your installed version.

The current maintained KDE versions are 4.x, with KDE 4.6.5 the previous stable release, and KDE 4.7.0 just recently released.
