This kdepim version is not maintained anymore. Retry with kdepim 4.7.0

Retry with kdepim 4.7.0 After installing kdepim 4.7.0 from Ubuntu experimental, running into numerous problems, and seeing how many people on the mailing lists are having similar, fundamental issues, I'd like to ask you to please reconsider. If you declare KMail1 unmaintained while KMail2/Akonadi has not reached production quality, you are effectively leaving KMail users without alternatives but switching to other mail clients. This is a duplicate of bug 289084, and the patch attached there seems to resolve the problem. |
Created attachment 62569 [details] Screen shot of error message Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: Linux I have KMail setup to automatically sort mails into (cached) IMAP folders when checking for mail by using local filters. This has worked well with my mail provider (gmx.net) in all versions of KDE prior to 4.7. Since I upgraded to 4.7, I'm getting an error message every time a message is moved by a filter: Error while uploading message (unexpected end of data), also see attached screen shot. I'm seeing this on two separate machines, and guess it's rather unlikely that my mail provider fiddled with their server exactly when I upgraded to 4.7. Hence, something must have changed in the way KMail handles incoming mail via disconnected IMAP. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Use a local filter to move your incoming mail between folders. Expected Results: It should just work. (tm) :)
