On the top right of my screen there is a 'widget' thing that says new activities. Unlocking widgets, there is still no visible way to remove it. Or in system settings.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
try to get rid of it

Actual Results:  
doesn't get rid of

Expected Results:  
should be able to delete new activities.

Just built and installed kde-4.7.0, and I find the 'New Activities' Button quite annoying as well. There should be a setting, not difficult to find, which allows this toolbox button to be minimimized (similar to the former cashew), or better, removed altogether.

While we're at it, there should be an  easy way to entirely disable/remove the activities manager itself-- this really is, for some of us, quite useless, and a sad waste of resources.

Ah, OK, I'm working on an old PC... and for some reason, repositioning the button wasn't taking.. Now it can be minimized easily, so, never mind..

It is the Cashew. Unlock widgets, grab it, and move it to a corner. If it sits inside a corner, it has the old appearance (displaying no name), if it sits at a screen edge, it additionally displays the current activity name.

I tried dragging it to a corner, but that just makes it a bit smaller, it still does not get rid of it. I need to remove the widget completely, as I don't need it.
