I am using Ubuntu 11.10 and after some checking I realized that it comes with Unity desktop and not KDE. Blogilo may only work with KDE. In addition to not saving posts locally even though it says so - when done locally - , it does not work for me to post to Google's blogger. When the post is initialized, the blog is contacted, but nothing is posted - at least after about 10 minutes (the activity bar, the orange bar icon goes back and forth all that time). What happens though is that the posts already on the blog is copied into Blogilo and stored instead as posts - that can be retrieved. I'm wondering if I should have waited longer. Right now I only copy the post in HTML format and paste them to the actual blog manually and the pictures (on local disk) end up broken, meaning I have to manually upload them. If there is presently no fix for this I understand. I confirm both of these reports. I'm running Kubuntu 11.10 and using KDE. When I click on "save locally" Blogilo's status bar shows that the post has been saved locally, but on a restart of Blogilo, there's no sign of the supposedly saved post. Also, I can download a list of posts from my blogspot blog, but when I click "submit", the activity bar just slides back and forth indefinitely. There's no feedback about what the problem might be, and no way to abort the submission other than to exit Blogilo. I have it too. Version 1.1 with KDE 4.8.4 on Arch. It's because the entry is stored into "Local Entries" at right, should be reload it or add button Open Locally to avoid this confusion. I new to Blogio, and I'm a bit confused as to whether this is the support forum or the one at launchpad is. At any rate, I've been having this issue as well with Unity, Ubuntu 13.04, and I have played around and discovered that it seems to never save a post in local entries in spite of the fact that the status bar says it was saved locally, EXCEPT in one case. Interestingly enough, if I create a title and save an empty post, it will pop up asking if I really want to save an empty post, and if I confirm that's what I really want to do, it appears in Local Entries. If I subsequently save my work, sqlite3 confirms that there is text in the body of it. However, it only does this if done the first time around. This morning, I forgot and started typing in the body. I went to save, and nothing appeared in Local Entries. I removed all the text with a cut routine, and I tried to save locally, but it would not save it. I created a new post, gave it a title, and I was able to save the empty article, and afterwards I was able to paste in the contents and save the article. This is happening in Kubuntu 14.10 KDE version 4.14.1 as I just discovered after typing a long write up about my experience at akademy. I am so very sad, save locally does absolutely nothing, my post is nowhere to be found. I don't feel like typing all that again... Back to the wordpress for now. I commented on another post about this issue. I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 on an HP edge laptop. "Save locally" did not save nor retrieve the post until I signed into a cloud service (googledrive). After that posts were saved and retrieved Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. As blogilo is now archived/marked unmaintained in Gitlab, I am updating all open tickets. If a maintainer is found, feel free to reopen these tickets when working on them. Gitlab Repo: https://invent.kde.org/unmaintained/blogilo |
