The items on the taskbar start to flicker heavily, change in size (from full height to half the height of the task bar) as well as overlap each other. 

The frequency is too high to be able to hit an item successfully. Thus the taskbar becomes unusable.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:
It seems that switching to a virtual desktop with more items that fit on one line, this behavior starts.


Expected Results:  
The taskbar arrangement should be stable as long as no programs are started or closed.

It looks like items are grouped and ungrouped very quickly, thus resulting in the flickering...

Thank you for your report.

The taskbar applet has been completely rewritten for KDE Workspaces 4.11
I cannot reproduce this bug with the new version.

Please reopen this bug if you encounter this in 4.11 onwards.

I have this in 4.11 (4.11.8-0ubuntu6). I don't know what else I can provide to make debugging it useful but I'm using the proprietary Nvidia driver. It's usually their fault.
